Description: Spadix scorpion vs centipede, beast feeding 3. This type of desert hairy scorpion feeds on small tiger centipedes in the wild. It has a solid black back and face to distiguish it from the Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion, Hadrurus arizonensis. it lives in extreme north Arizona and into Utah. It is said to be slightly more aggressive and venomous than its southern counterparts.This centipede, Scolopendra viridis, looks similar to the common Tiger Centipede S. polymorpha, but doesn't get nearly as big, reaching 4". Polys can reach 7".
